UP NEET Counselling 2021

UP NEET Counselling 2021 will be conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education and Training (DMET), Lucknow to provide admission under 85% seats of MBBS/BDS courses in medical/dental colleges in Uttar Pradesh. UP MBBS/BDS Admission will be based on scores obtained in National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test- NEET  2021. The Counselling Process for UP NEET 2021 will be conducted through Online Mode. Candidates who want to participate in the counselling process should register themselves on the official website of UP NEET: www.dgmeup.in

The process for counselling consists of 4 rounds; namely the first round, the second round, the mop-up round, and finally, the stray round. Before the counselling process starts, the candidates must verify their documents.

Registration opens for a period of 3-4 days before the start of every round of UP NEET counselling 2021. The seats that are left vacant after the first round of counselling of UP NEET 2021, will be carried forward to the second round. And in the 3rd or 4th round the same process takes place.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Academic: NEET Aspirants must pass the qualifying UP NEET-UG examination with an aggregate of 50% marks (40% marks for the reserved category) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as mandatory subjects.
  • Aspirant Age: Candidate must be at least 17 years old and a maximum of 25 years old as of December 31, 2019. For reserved category candidates, there is an age relaxation of 5 years.
  • Seats: The seats of the government colleges are reserved for the residents of Uttar Pradesh while the seats for the private colleges are available for any candidate (other state candidates can also apply for private college)

UP NEET Counselling Procedure : (Step by Step)

As you all know that UP NEET UG Counselling will be held in the online mode, aspirants will be required to submit their options online. Aspirants will be required to login to the same portal where they have filled UP MBBS/BDS application form 2021. Steps on how to participate in UP NEET counseling 2021 are given below.

Step 1: Log in

Aspirants need to log in with their credentials such as NEET 2021 roll number and password that they created while registering. An OTP will be sent to the candidates on their registered mobile number

Step 2: Choice Filling

A list of colleges will appear on the screen.From the list of the colleges, aspirants will be required to choose the colleges they wish to get into. Candidates can choose any number of colleges. The institutes which are already selected can be deleted and interchanged. (Those applying for private and minority colleges should check all the information about the colleges and their fee structure before selecting them).

Step 3: Online Choice Locking

After the choice filling, aspirants are required to lock their choice for the final submission before the UP MBBS 2021 counselling. For the candidates who fail to submit the final choices, their application will not be considered for NEET Uttar Pradesh counselling 2021.

Step 4 – Seat Allotment

Based on the choices filled by the aspirants during UP NEET UG counselling 2021, rank, seats available, reservation, and other factors, the DMET will conduct the seat allotment process. 

Step 5 – Reporting at the allotted College

Those who want to continue with the seat allotted to them in the UP NEET  UG counselling will be required to report to the allotted college before the given time period along with the required documents.

Security Money for UP NEET Counselling 2021

All candidates will have to pay security money through a demand draft drawn in the favour of (DMET)Director General, Medical Education & Training, UP which will only be payable at the nodal office in Lucknow. It is to be noted that the security money will be returned to the aspirants after the completion of the UP NEET 2021 admission procedure. Take a look at the table given below:

Documents Verification:

After successful registration and deposition of the security money, a candidate needs to report to the nodal centers for verification of documents. If a candidate fails to report to the respective nodal center in the stipulated time, their seat will be given to the other candidate. 

Candidates will be able to proceed to the next stage of UP NEET Counselling 2021 after the complete verification of the documents.
